2024 Mirabilis - GSM Blend

Profile

Our 2nd bottling of Mirabilis is a very different blend than its predecessor: 52% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, and 23% Syrah. The Grenache and Syrah were sourced from our Islay Hill Estate Vineyard and Mourvèdre from Rancho Arroyo Grande Vineyard.

This blend offers complex aromas of red and dark berries, leather and an array of herbs—rosemary, thyme, and lavender. The palate is bold with more dark berries, purple florals and warm, savory spices.

Production Notes

Blend: 52% Mourvèdre, 25% Grenache, and 23% Syrah
Alcohol: 14%
Fermentation: 100% de-stemmed and fermented with native yeast in an open top 1-ton fermenter on skins for 17 days, gently basket pressed
Aging: 33% new French oak for 11 months
Bottled: Without fining or filtering
